Code of Conduct
Liability: Every new family will be presented with a Waiver of Liability Release Form which they must sign before they are able to participate in any Rooted in Reverence events. Please understand that you are responsible for the conduct and actions of yourself and your child/children and Rooted in Reverence is not responsible for any accident, illness, injury or property damage that may occur during the participation of our events.
Membership: Currently, interested families are welcome to attend a meet up to see if our group could be a right fit for their family. However, if you choose to register to become an official member, we expect you want to make the group a priority and request a minimum attendance of twice a month. A yearly Membership fee of $15 per family is collected upon registration and then again every January.
Culture: This group takes a “village approach”, in that while we are all out and about exploring, we all informally agree to look out for one another as a family does and “fill in the gaps” when necessary. Furthermore, we understand that the seasons of motherhood can be unpredictable at times, and ask that we all extend grace toward one another as we learn how to grow as parents & people while exploring nature with our children.
Violence: Although we are wild+free in our adventures we are NOT wild and free with our hands. Bullying and hitting is a major concern, and although “kids will be kids”, as their parents and mentors it is our responsibility to teach them appropriate behavior as they explore their boundaries. If an instance of intentional violence occurs please try to respectfully and discreetly bring it to the guardians attention. If after that, no clear change is attempted please bring it to the attention of leadership so that we are made aware of the issue. If a clear pattern of malicious behavior continues that family will respectfully be asked to discontinue attendance until the behavior is resolved.
Medical Freedom: This group is pro medical freedom. Most attendees do not wear masks or follow the “recommended” vaccination schedule. However, we support each parents right to choose what is best for their children as individuals and welcome all families accordingly.
Marketing: All of us have businesses and brands that we love and support. Some of them are even our own creations! We of course do not aim to control where organic conversations may lead when we are out adventuring… nevertheless, out of respect for one another please do not aim to use the group members as your target market for your business.
