Handicraft Fair!!!

Handicraft Fair!!!

  • 5 Stones Artisan Brewery & Kinnor Coffee (map)
  • Google Calendar ICS

My favorite way to end the year!!! Wether your family sews, felts, makes candles, jewelry or things with wood.. we can’t wait to see your booth at this years fair! I like to do this near Christmas time because I think hand made gifts make the best gifts!

A “handicraft” is something hand made. The over all goal of the Fair, is to empower our children to use their hands to create something beautiful and/or useful. And then therefore, being delighted in the participation of the fair and witnessing the fruits of their labor.

**If a parent happens to have a particular handicraft skill as well, a family booth can have both handicrafts represented.

The location of this years Fair is at our group member Ashley’s family business, 5 Stones Brewery, in New Braunfels off of FM 1863. There is also an artisan coffee house and delicious cafe on site that will be open for business during the event (to the public as well). I linked the website below so you can scope the menu ;)

Basically we will all have little booths set up like a farmers market and we will all get a chance to shop at and support each others booths. For the first 20 families to register a standard 6ft folding table will be provided. Set up will begin at 10:30am and the Fair will run from 11:30am- 1:30pm.

Ps: I will also be inviting other local homeschooling groups to participate :)

Lower Purgatory Creek

Lower Purgatory Creek

Lower Purgatory Creek is a 3.5 moderately trafficked trail located in San Marcos, TX. We will not complete the whole thing. Double check that you are meeting at the trailhead off of Hunter road, as there are many trail heads. Upon arrival we will circle up to chat about nature safety & pray. We will then hike and explore. I like to go at a moderate pace so the older ones do not get bored but not so fast that we miss the little things nature is trying to show us! After the hike we will find a place to sit and fellowship/ free play and have lunch. Please pack water and food for your family as needed.

I would love to chat about what day for “meets” works best for y’all and what you would like to incorporate in the group this year. Please text Marissa at 386-838-9985 about a dish you can bring.
